Families
- People of all ages feel very welcome
here at Emmanuel. We have Sunday School classes and ministries designed with
every age group in mind.
Sunday
School - Every
Sunday morning at 9:45 am, we meet to study the Word of God. Children are
welcome to attend age-appropriate classes taught by our gifted teachers. There is a class for teens, and two classes from which adults may
choose.
Morning
Worship -
Following Sunday School, at 11:00 am, we meet in the sanctuary for worship. We
sing choruses and hymns of praise to God, raise prayers to God, read portions of
Scripture, and are challenged by relevant Biblical preaching. We observe the
Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month.
Nursery -
A nursery is available during our morning service. Both infants and toddlers
will be well taken care of by our loving volunteers while you celebrate Jesus
Christ in worship.
Children's
Church - If
parents so desire, children ages 5-9 may attend Children's Church. Children
depart from the Worship Service as specified in the church bulletin. Parents
pick up their children following the service, knowing that they have been taught
age-appropriate lessons from the Bible.
Bible Community Groups - On Sunday evenings or other nights of the week,
we come together in small groups just like the early disciples did for a time of
engaging Bible study, open sharing, prayer, and fellowship. These Bible
Community Groups are a great way to build friendships, have a place to be
discipled, receive encouragement and support each other in the Christian life.
Bible
Study and Prayer
Meeting
- Each Wednesday at 7:00
pm the church doors open for a more in-depth Bible study. We typically meet for
45 minutes and then breakout into prayer groups that meet in various rooms
around the church. All are welcome to stay for both our Bible study and prayer
time but can also choose to just stay for one or the other.
Men
- A monthly breakfast (except for June through August) is enjoyed at the church
beginning at 8:30 AM. This is followed by a devotional and great time of
fellowship and encouragement. We also plan an excursion each fall to further
friendships and experience a new endeavor for enriching our relationship with
Christ.
Teens
- In addition to weekly Sunday School classes, our Youth Group meets the needs
of students grades 7-12. We meet on Friday evenings at 7:00 pm during the school
year. Following a variety of fun games in the gym such as volleyball, dodge ball
or kickball we sit down for a time of snacks and a devotion from the
Bible.
Children
- Our church sponsors an active Kids Club. Children grades K-6 are invited to be
a part of our clubs. The program includes Bible lessons, games, crafts, snacks,
and fun. Pioneer Clubs meets every other Friday evening at 7 PM. Call the church
for schedule details.
VBS
- Each summer, our church hosts one week of Vacation Bible School. This program
meets every evening for one week, giving kids ages 5-11 an opportunity to learn
from the Bible, sing songs, create crafts, play games, and have a great time.
Music
- Do you sing or play an instrument? Music plays an important role in our
worship, and we are always on the lookout for new talent to participate.
Others
- Our church is committed to meeting the ministry needs of our community. We
will develop new ministries when needed in order to be on the cutting edge of
God's plan for our church. The only ingredient missing from our ministries may
be YOU!
