Jesus gave us the Great Commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). Evangelism plays an essential role in the life of our church. We attempt to carry out the command of Jesus by conducting various evangelistic outreaches at our church, such as a yearly Christmas Carol Sing, VBS, and special evangelistic services. In addition to these "events," we advocate various models of evangelism including pulpit evangelism, personal evangelism, and street evangelism. Many of us who attend the Wednesday Night Bible Study take that night at various times to go out on the streets and share Christ. If you are interested in evangelism, please come and participate in the study.
A vital part of Emmanuel Baptist Church's vision is missions. We are currently involved in outreaches that meet local, national, and international needs. Currently we have 12 missionaries and missions serving in various places in this country and around the world. Jesus said in Mark 16:15: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. In Acts 1:8 He also said: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.These passages compel us to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From Genesis through Revelation, Scripture presents missions as the heartbeat of God. Thererfore EBC’s Missions Ministry is doing just that by equipping, encouraging, and serving our missionaries and the ones they reach for Christ!

Slavic Missionary Service has a close connection to our church. Pastor Alex Leonovich is the exevutive director of this mission and he was the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church from 1953-1970. He still is a member of our church and continues to do a great work for the Lord through SMS.
We have also had a long affiliation with RUEBU (Russian Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Union). One of the branches of RUEBU that we support is the Evangelical Christian Center a year long retreat and conference center. It has many exciting programs for children and youth to teach them about Christ.
