The entire Word of God is the basis and foundation of this church fellowship and is summarized as follows...
About the Bible
We believe in the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God; inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are the final authority in faith, doctrine, and life. (2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 5:18; 1 Thess. 2:13)
About God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; Eph. 4:4-6) All three persons of the Trinity have the same essential nature, attributes, and perfections, being co-eternal, and co-equal in power and glory. We believe the Trinity is eternal, transcendent, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and personal. (Psa. 90:2; John 1:1; Heb. 9:14; Rom. 1:16; Matt. 28:28; Rom. 15:19; Jer. 23:24; Matt. 28:20; Psa. 139:7-12)
About Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is totally God and totally man in one person. (Isa. 7:14; Jn. 20:28; Phil. 2:8) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world. (John 3:16) Anyone who repents of their sin and believes in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are justified on the grounds of His substitutionary death and redemptive blood. (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Rom 5:12-19; Acts 16:31; 1 John 1:7-9) We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His physical ascension into heaven, and in His present work there as High Priest, Mediator and Advocate. (1 Cor. 15:12-19; Acts 1:6-11; Heb. 7:25; 1 Tim. 2:5; 1 John 2:1-2) We believe that the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to catch up His people to meet Him in the air is imminent. (Mark 13:32-37; 1 Thess. 4:17; 5:6,9) We believe in the visible, personal and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ to set up His kingdom upon the earth. (Rev. 1:7; 20:1-10; Isa. 2:2-4)
About Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he fell into sin and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. (Gen. 3; Rom 5:18-19) Humans are now completely depraved, corrupted by sin from birth, and lost eternally. (Rom. 3:23; Eccl. 7:20; 1 Kings 8:46; Rom 6:23) However, God sent His one and only Son to die on the cross as the full and final payment for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2).People must be pardoned from their sins through faith in Christ’s work on the cross and regenerated by the Holy Spirit to inherit eternal life. (Gen. 1:26-28; Psa. 51:5; Rom. 3:9-12; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; John 3:3-8)
About Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. All who repent of their sin, and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are born again of the Holy Spirit into the family of God. (Eph. 2:8-10; Jn. 1:12-13; 2 Cor. 5:17) Salvation is based solely on the finished work of Christ’s atonement and subsequent resurrection. Man’s good works cannot in any way avail for his salvation. (Titus 3:5; Rom. 4:25; Rom 4:4-5; John 5:24)
About Eternity
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. (Dan. 12:1-2) The righteous, who have trusted Christ as their personal Savior, will go to a literal glorious heaven where they will enjoy the majesty and splendor of Almighty God for eternity. The wicked will go to a literal hell, where all unrepentant and unbelieving people will suffer conscious torment for eternity. (John 5:28-29; 1 Cor. 15:50-57; Rev. 20:1-6; 21:1-8; Lk. 16:19-31)
